NATURAMED LTD. develops biologically active compounds from plants for treatment of prostate deficiencies. Currently the Company is developing Naturamed's Bio-Active (NABIA) biological compounds extracted from through controlled growing of a specific strain of different botanical raw materials. These compounds will provide a wide-range treatment for the majority of known biological mechanisms of BPH. No side effects for patients are expected, considering the safe history of the botanical raw materials used in folkloristic medicine, some of them currently sold as a food supplement and used as a source of food for hundreds of years in many parts of the world. NABIA bio-active compounds test results indicate substantial activity equivalent to several drugs, commercially used for BPH treatment.
Drug formulations derived from NABIA bio-active compounds with synergetic activity for effective treatment of BHP disorders will be designed.
NATURAMED's novel technology consists of the following:
* Validated and detailed parameters for agro technological variables.
* Unique extraction and fractionation sequencing and procedures for NABIA bio-active compounds production.
* Isolation and chemical definition of active ingredients derived from plants for NABIA bio-active compounds.
* Analytical test methods for identification and verification of the NABIA compounds.
* Biological in vitro models and assays for testing the biological activity of NABIA compounds to inhibit major known mechanisms affecting BPH. |
